Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO and the Vice Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has found himself in hot water with social media users after being caught sleeping during a recent &#8220;Meet the Press&#8221; event led by his boss, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. 



The event, which took place on Sunday night, aimed to address questions posed by journalists and provide insights into the government&#8217;s agenda.



As the proceedings unfolded, it became apparent that NAPO was not fully engaged, as he was spotted dozing off in his seat. 



A photograph capturing this moment quickly circulated on social media, provoking a wave of humorous and critical reactions from netizens. Many took to various platforms to express their disbelief and ridicule, questioning his commitment to his role and the event itself.



Adding fuel to the fire, NAPO had recently stirred controversy by making statements that undermined the legacy of Ghana&#8217;s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. 



He claimed that the current government has accomplished more than Nkrumah did during his time in office, which drew the ire of many Ghanaians who viewed his comments as disrespectful. 



Now, following his public display of disinterest, social media users have seized the opportunity to further criticize him.One user sarcastically remarked, “He will wake up and start insulting Kwame Nkrumah smh 🤦🏾‍♂️,” highlighting the irony of NAPO&#8217;s situation. 



The juxtaposition of his previous remarks and his current behavior has not gone unnoticed, leading to an outpouring of memes and jokes at his expense.



As the backlash continues, NAPO&#8217;s actions serve as a reminder of the scrutiny public figures face, especially in an era where social media amplifies every moment.
