Ghanaian music producer Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has said that the potential return of former President John Mahama to power could be disastrous to the country. 



In a recent interview on Cape Coast&#8217;s Property FM, he articulated his support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential campaign, citing fears that Mahama’s comeback could lead to detrimental outcomes for the country.



Appietus explained that if Mahama were to be re-elected, he would have only four years to serve, which could embolden him to act without fear of electoral repercussions.







 &#8220;If voted into office again, Mahama will only have four years to serve, so when he does anything we don&#8217;t like, we can&#8217;t use losing an election to frighten him,&#8221; he stated.



He emphasized the urgency of his support for Bawumia, noting, &#8220;At the end of the day, I&#8217;m afraid that Bawumia will lose for Mahama to be our president again, so I have to campaign for Bawumia to win and continue the good works.&#8221;



Appietus further warned that a return of Mahama could leave the nation worse off, saying, &#8220;The last days are dangerous… if Mahama should win, we will be worse off because it is scary that Mahama is coming again.&#8221;
