 The Ghana Police Service has made a sixth arrest in connection with the violent disturbances that erupted during the football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC on February 2, 2025. 



The latest suspect, Elizabeth Akosua Ntiriwaa, also known as Akosua Black Chinese, is currently in police custody and assisting with the investigation.



This incident, which has drawn significant public attention, tragically resulted in one fatality.







 The police have now apprehended a total of six individuals related to the violence, reflecting the ongoing efforts to address the situation.



Among the five previously arrested suspects are notable figures, including Ignatius Baffour Awuah, a former Minister of Employment and Labour Relations and ex-Member of Parliament for Sunyani West. 



Baffour Awuah, along with Kyeremeh Joseph and Agyemang Duah Owusu, was arrested on February 3 and appeared in court the following day.



In court, Baffour Awuah and Kyeremeh were granted bail of GHC 500,000 each, with conditions including the surrender of their passports and daily reporting to the police station for the next two weeks. 



In contrast, Agyemang Duah, who was found with a firearm and bloodstained clothing at his residence, has been remanded into custody for two weeks as investigations continue.



The remaining suspects, Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine, along with the newly arrested Ntiriwaa, are expected to face court proceedings in the near future.



As the investigation unfolds, police are conducting an intelligence-led operation to ensure that all individuals involved in the violent incident are apprehended and brought to justice.
