Reports have emerged that top officials of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) allegedly stormed the residence of former Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to stop her from attending scheduled media interviews on Friday, March 21, 2025.



Safo was set to appear on Kessben FM/TV and GhOne TV for interviews, but she failed to show up for both engagements.



According to a report by Kessben TV, the NPP leadership ambushed the former Gender Minister at her home, preventing her from leaving to attend the interviews.



&#8220;Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has been ambushed by some Leadership of the NPP in her house to prevent her from honoring the scheduled interview on Kessben TV this morning,&#8221; the media outlet shared on Facebook.



A later update suggested that rather than a forceful ambush, Safo and the party officials were engaged in a meeting, which ultimately kept her from attending the interviews.



Following the incident, Kessben TV apologized to its audience for being unable to air the scheduled interview.

Adwoa Safo has been vocal in recent weeks about issues within the NPP, admitting in previous interviews that the party&#8217;s leadership failed to listen to the public during its second term, leading to its electoral defeat. 



It remains unclear whether her recent remarks played a role in the alleged intervention by party officials.
